Hi. My husband has just accepted a job in Irving and will be starting June 11th. Which means I have alot of work to do.

What I need to find first off is a place for us to live temporarily while we are looking for a house. I need a 2 bedroom, 2 bath corporate apartment, meaning fully furnished. Preferably in Plano or the surrounding area.

Anyone have any ideas? Someone I could contact?

Thanks in advance.

Default Oakwood?

That's who we used when transferring from Southern to Northern California. They have locations everywhere. We didn't have any problems in their apartments at all.

We used Oakwood too and they have many apartments around DFW. Why Plano? That is quite far of a commute imo.

My target househunting area is West Plano, around the 190 and Dallas Tollway connection. So why not live there temporarily too. Plus, my husband is a consultant and will be traveling most of the time - his home office is simply in Irving. So he wont be going there everyday - maybe once a week.

I will check out this Oakwood, thanks.

Look at La Ventura in West Plano between Park and Parker, west of Preston.

Not the cheapest, but definitely the nicest place I could find in West Plano.

Homes across the street are 1.3 million if that is any indicator for the area.

Just wondering, not sure if you can post this or not, if not please PM me, but what is the typical cost for a furnished place?

Thanks, Corey

I don't know the answer to your question, but there's nothing wrong with the question.

Rent an apartment, then rent furniture. If you talk to the folks at La Ventura, they'll turn you on to my company that rents. 1Bdr furnished for under $200.

Furnished places are limited. But anyone can rent furniture.
