One more spot to inquire about.........Hunters Creek. How small are the yards in this area? They appear to be tiny (as in a few swipes with the mower and you can call it a day) Would like to hear form people who own or have looked in this neighborhood. Thanks in advance!

I think the user NY-Dallas has looked in this area.

I've driven through. Nice area. To me, the yYards don't look any larger/smaller than any of the other areas in Frisco.

It's rear entry garage territory, so you will sacrifice alot of the back yard for looks. The problem with front entry is that you will be more limited with regards to upscale areas if you choose the front entry route.

scyogi,

How did you find Hunter's Creek ? I ask because it's one of those areas I've driven past 100 times and never even noticed till recently. I thought NY - Dallas was looking there as well, I must have the usernames mixed up.

I found a house I liked on one of the realtor sites. I have NEVER been to Dallas so all of my home search has basically been a huge map, this forum, and a ton of research. (my husbands corporate office is in Richardson so he is pretty familiar with the area). I will be soooooo happy to finally fly in this weekend and put my feet on some Texas dirt. This board has been a huge resource of information. I hope to fill a nice long post next week on what I find in the areas I am looking in (Frisco, Mckinney, and Allen). Again just a huge thanks for everyone who have answered my postings. (Momof2 has especially been helpful-so hugs from this carolina girl!)

Heh. In 2004, we moved to Texas from Lexington. I've also lived in Rock Hill, Florence, Columbia and Clemson. Plus in my last job I was driving all over the state doing service work.

Ok....we went to this neighborhood this weekend. First the neighborhood is beautiful. I was very excited as we cruised the neighborhood and saw all the kids at the community pool. There were beautiful trees and a great walking path over a creek. We arrived at the home (located on Buffalo Creek in case you want to find this one) and the home was beautiful inside and out. THEN we went out the backdoor and almost walked into the fence. OUCH! The yards in this neighborhood are tiny, tiny. So if you are looking for a home that is beautiful and would like little to no yard work this is the area for you.
