My 16 year old son will be "stoked"! Why? Because he will have two tickets to Lil Wayne's concert under the Christmas tree this year. Can't believe our new arena is going to play host to such a popular artist as Lil Wayne
Please no negative opinions on him and his music - I am a old housewife who barely knows Lil Wayne from Lil Kim or Young Jeezy from Jay-Z! Afterall when I went to my first concert - KISS - in about 1977 - my parents has nothing good to say, either

Rap not your thing - the Charlie Daniels band is there later in December and this is home ice for the Allen Americans hockey team.
There are a bunch of restaurants and retail in the Village at Allen and Village at Fairview, plus a great dog park, kids maze and caboose to play in
......wait just a minute, maybe I shouldn't be telling you all this - the Village at Allen might be DFW's best kept secret

It may be part of Lil Wayne's Plea Bargain to play a concert in Allen in lieu of part of his jail sentence.
I, on the other hand, would rather go to jail than have to go to Allen.

that bar right next to it is pretty good. Its a sports bar and they serve some STRONG drinks. Its a very nice area. Id like to see the charlie daniels band.

Young teenagers shouldn't be idolizing & exposed to someone like Lil' Wayne purposely...then again, even people we thought were well polished gentlemen like Tiger Woods can fool us. I'm sure everyone has their dark side, but Lil' Wayne's is just too obvious. He isn't ashamed to admit to using drugs out in the open, even goes as far as to say he doesn't give a *bleep* what people think of him or his actions. Ever seen his VH1 Behind The Music interview? The guys smoking dope while drinking codine laced cough syrup in front of the camera.
