Hello...I hope to be working at South Western Medical Center, near Love Field airport, where should I look to buy a 4 bed, 2000 sq ft home for under $230k, in a good school district for my 7 and 4 year old within a 30 minute commute during rush hour? Thankyou

Grapevine. I used to make this drive and it was not too bad. 114 is more crowded going towards Las Colinas than into downtown Dallas! Very good schools in GCISD, too. You'll have to look for the 4 bedroom, but the price range won't be a problem.

You can get into Far North Dallas for under $230k in good schools (exemplary elementary schools, feeds into JJ Pearce High School) in the Holiday Park swim/tennis community in Dallas (homes around $170k), in Estates West in Dallas (homes around $200k), the Reservation in Richardson (around $200k). I know folks who work at Southwestern who live in these neighborhoods. They are located around Arapaho near Coit and Hillcrest.

To get in this area, it's best to have a realtor looking for homes for you before the for sale goes up because they sell quickly (well most of them, not all).
