So, because I cant wait to come to Texas and I love looking at houses online, I usually look through craigslist every other night while watching tv. I found an ad which had a link here:

http://picasaweb.google.com/tinamari...GrapevineTexas

Wow, I love the look of this neighborhood! The price was a little out of my range, but does anyone know of any other areas like this in the DFW area? I love the heavily wooded, green feel. Almost feels like your living in a forest. Beautiful.

Canyon Creek/Prairie Creek in Richardson.

Go to the Moderator cut: Web site and type 75082 in the zip and 'Collins' in the name of the street. Look to the north of Collins at some of those homes.

I knew someone that use to live in the Canyon Creek area. I thought it was very nice and similar to the pics you shared. Good luck with your search.

Grapevine has LOTS of other neighborhoods that look like this with lots of large trees, etc. There are many price ranges available within the city.

There are lots of areas in my part of town that look similar, and I live in Hurst - about 10 miles from Grapevine. There are places like that all over the metroplex.
I have to second that remark about Canyon Creek in Richardson; I have a friend that lives there and it's really nice and well kept with older homes.

The original part of Firewheel in Garland has lots of old trees. That is my favorite area in Firewheel.

I think it's 75080 and West of Collins (North of Campbell).

Sure, I think Collins at some points runs parallel to the 75. There is also a part that is parallel to Campbell. I always drive back there during lunch. Peaceful area.

I live in far east Plano near Bob Woodruff Park and have a huge park as my backyard. I love it. The surrounding area is a nature preserve and will not be developed. There are trails, a pond, pavilion and tons of activities. Normally people don't think of Plano as a pretty place, but I feel like I live in the country and hardly notice we are 10 minutes from Dallas. If you are interested look at Moderator cut: website again, her web site is the best and look at Shinnery Oak. The houses are affordable and fairly new. The one down the street is for sale and should be on the site. Welcome
