So, we've sold the house and are moving to Texas in March - YES!

Our plan is to rent an apartment for 3-4 months while we house hunt. We're looking in the DFW suburbs - anywhere from Keller to Plano - so an apartment sort of in the middle of that big area seems best.

So far I've looked at (via the web, not in person):
  • Marquis at Lantana
  • Estancia at Vista Ridge
  • Chapel Hill
We would prefer a 3 bedroom, but could manage a 2 bedroom/2 bath for the short term.

Anyone have any input on the three above or recommendations on others?

Thanks.

Have you called any of them to see if they lease apartments for 3-4 months?

Yes, the three I listed all have short term leases available.

Oh, that's good to know. I'm not familiar with any of those places, so I can't help you out. Hopefully someone else knows them.

Welcome to Dallas (or at least the area)! That is a vast territory you are covering. Do you know where you will be working?

I'll be working from home, so the daily commute is not a concern.

We've heard/read lots of good things about the Lewisville ISD and Plano ISD, which is a main reason we're looking at those areas.
