Relocating to the Dallas area from Little Rock...school districts and ratings are VERY important as well as churches. Coppell, Highland Village, and Flower Mound are looking good but would like some input about which is the better of the school systems especially high school. Husband will be commuting from Lewisville. Also the churches in the area and possible youth groups. Would appreciate any input from parents of teens in this are.
Thanks in advance!

coppell would be the best of the districts you named. check out greatschools.net for specific school info.

Greatschools.org Search: coppell

there are plenty of choices for good churches. The Village church is in flower mound- everyone I know who goes there loves it. Fellowship is also not too far from that area- it's in grapevine, I believe. they used to have a good singles group and I imgine youth as well.

you could also consider grapevine/colleyville if you wanted- same general area, good schools.

All 3 areas you mentioned are very desirable. However, knowing your budget would help recommend others as well.

Finding a great church in the area won't be hard as there are MANY to choose from and most will have very active youth groups...but you will have to visit them and see what is a good fit for you and your family.

As far as High schools and schools in General and location...easy acess etc... I don't think you can beat Coppell. Solid schools throughout the entire district, very family orientated, great community center etc...

Flowermound Marcus HS contiues to get high ratings and I really have not heard much negative about the school sysytem at all.
But... research the forums for traffic in the area and where you will commuting to. It can be difficult to get in and out of Flowermound area and traffic could be an issue.

Traffic is bad during peak hours everywhere in DFW area specially on intersections. I suggest you actually commute from the areas/ Sub Divisions to the work and compare and decide based on your long term plans and job.
On school if you are considering Academics all the schools mentioned are good but for comparison you can use the SAT scores. Number of National Merit scholars, State Rankings...Number of clubs, AP programs ..etc.You can find a lot of threads on this forum.
Also consider Flower Mound High School which IMO on the above metrics is equal or a notch higher than Coppell and Carroll High School and has been consistently improving its performance year after year.
