Default Dallas County working on services for southern development

I saw this article this morning. It would be nice to see some economic growth in the southern sector. Most likely any growth would be industrial at first, but any growth would be good for the area.
Southern Dallas County, long neglected despite its large swath of undeveloped land, is ready to reap the benefits of its rebirth as an international trade hub.

A 520,000-square-foot distribution center will be part of the 430-acre Sunridge Business Park in Wilmer in southern Dallas County. The area lacks adequate water and sewer service. But the region still faces a major hurdle - a lack of adequate water and sewer service.

County Commissioner John Wiley Price wants to change that. Rather than waiting for developers to pay for their own water and sewer lines, Mr. Price wants the county to get into the water business - a first for a large urban Texas county.

I've got what may be an update for you on this. Sunridge is slowly but surely trying to take shape. The story was from October, but it's worth noting.

Sunridge to develop land - Dallas Business Journal:

In addition, I saw some land being prepared with some small side streets for new retail at I-45 at Pleasant Run as I drove by earlier. Not sure what all of that will specifically entail.
