Default 21 year old young professional moving in

Hey guys,

I'm moving into the Dallas/FW area in a few weeks and I have a few concerns.

My job is in Irving and I want to live in an area where alot of things happen and where alot of the urban crowd is. Are these places near Irving (Las Colinas, etc..) or are they closer to downtown/uptown dallas. Also, I can't seem to figure out how the reverse commute would be from downtown/uptown to DFW. that would be the route i'd take if i were to live there.

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Las Colonas is nice and you could find some really cool apts. on the canal, but I think you would find uptown/downtown more fun and upbeat. Drive commute wouldn't be too fun at times as I've been told by some of the younger set at work. Good luck in finding just the right place for you. You might want to also consider Addison. I've heard that Addison is circle is the place to be these days.

I am a couple of years older than you and work in Las Colinas. I personally live in the Las Colinas area because my fiancee and I don't go out to bars every weekend. Las Colinas is quiet and safe, but if you want to be around people I would strongly suggest uptown or Addison. If I had a choice between the two (i.e. if I was single) I would pick uptown in a heartbeat. There is always something to do there.
