Default Hmm..

Well for me it would be Maui, Florence or Lausanne, Switzerland. Dublin would be great and they have a great tech infrastructure there.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

I've been around the world several times and my favorite places remain ones here in the US.

I can't recommend anything because sunshine is at the top of my list. shade/overcast tend to foster depression for me and cause me to overeat :-)

Here's my list of places I've been, enjoyed, and would love to visit again.

Lisbon, Portugal; Valencia or Palma (but it's a resort island), Spain; Nice, France; Genoa, Naples (but there's a some sulfer in the air at times) or Rome, Italy; Chania, Crete; Haifi (there is a bombing threat), Israel; Victoria (another island), Saychelles; Dubai, UAE.

Ok fine. So I forgot St Thomas and St Johns, and we might as well add St. Maarten.

The only thing with the Virgin Islands is that they get some pretty predictable/scary annual tropical stroms. So you may need another spot to live during storm season, like say the French Riviera (i.e Menton)

So when are we all relocating? I'm game.

Hubby laughs when he sees me on the internet looking up islands to buy. LOL!!! Someday.

OOHHHHHHH!!! How about Costa Rica? Still somewhat tropical but there is a lot of U.S. business done down there.

Galway, Ireland. It reminds me of a more laid back, European Austin. It is a university town and the people are wonderful and the countryside is amazing!
