Heh. I would say "take the Golden State" (if you're going north of LA) or "take the Santa Ana" (going south from LA). I love non-numeric freeway names. Far more poetic and much more emblematic of the place than an anonymous number. But then I thought the world became a less graceful and crueler place when the old phone exchange names got dropped. Hey, I'm old school -- or just old.

at 1145 it was a 2 hour wait in the drive thru line. they were parking people like it was the rodeo. to stand and wait in line, it was an 1 1/2 wait. can't imagine a "fast food" hamburger being that good to wait that long. guess i will find out one day. until then, i will avoid the heavily congested area.

I hear that! Something is wrong when our mortgage out here is $500/mo less than our rent for a 2bd apt in CA.

I never in a million years thought I'd be in Texas. The first time I ever stepped foot in the state was the weekend we flew out here to find a place to live and sign an apartment lease! lol

Anyways - In n Out - I want to know what the first timers ordered and how they liked it. Also, for the InO vets - what is your order there?

Usually I will go for a Double Meat Animal Style with no tomatoes, fries and a small drink. If I'm feelin frisky, I'll get whole grilled onion or get a veggie animal style instead of fries.
The Mrs. will get a cheeseburger meat and cheese only, or a flying dutchman and fries.

I've never been to Denver but they hold the Great American Beer Festival there every year. I'm told Falling Rock Taphouse is a must, Great Divide Brewing's Tap room Great Divide Brewing | Denver Colorado is supposed to be cool, and Breckenridge Brew & BBQ Breckenridge Brewery & BBQ, Denver Restaurant & Brewpub - Denver Microbrewery &Tasting Room.

I'd go to any of those over in n out! I may love craft beer a little more than burgers...

+1 but only a little.
Good reason to go to The Old Monk. Excellent Burgers, and a fine selection of unusual beers on the rotator taps.
