can anyone tell me how many students are projected to attend the new Lone Star High School in Frisco?

Also, if it's being built to relieve other school population how will the affected school reduce in size? It appears most of the Frisco high schools currently have 1800 students, serving grades 9-12. After Lone Star is open will the others be reduced in size?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

It's been put into a 3A UIL district which means an attendance range of 430-989.

Far North Dallas

Thanks! That may fit the criteria from my other post correct? and it's in Frisco, correct?

If so, that's exciting.

But, I would have to be able to find a fairly nice rental in that area as well. Is that doable?

Frisco builds its high schools to ultimately be 4A schools, although it may take them a few years to ramp up to that. Usually in the beginning these new schools do not have all 4 grades. It looks like Lone Star will open with 9-11th grades FISD Online :: Lone Star High School (http://www.friscoisd.org/schools/LSHS/index.htm - broken link)

darn. My son will be grade 10 and my daughter grade 12.

this may have been perfect if they have grades 9-12 as we really want a small school, good education and decent sports.

that means I will have to keep looking. darn.

Well, you might call to double check. I was just looking at that schedule they have on the front page of the website that had schedule pick up days and times and there wasn't one for 12th graders. It is typical though for Frisco not to open with all 4 grades.
