Hello all.

We are expecting to relocate to the Dallas area this summer, and have narrowed our online search to two neighborhoods in Frisco - Starwood and Chapel Creek.

Does anyone have an opinion about Chapel Creek, or can tell me anything that would be helpful in making our decision?

We have young kids, so the proximity to the Spears Elementary and the upcoming Middle school is attractive. So is the access to the Tollway.

Any red flags, about either community?

Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid I just answered my own question.

Apparently the City of Frisco is moving forward in developing a 150 unit low income, section 8, apartments DIRECTLY BEHIND CEDAR CREEK!!!!

What on earth are these people thinking??!!.

Now I understand all the price drops in Cedar Creek. Pay $1M to live next to that.

yikes.

Back to the search - Frisco is now officially out.

what a shame.

That project has been on the books since 2006 and several communities fought it but you can thank the current Frisco city council. Just remember, elections are around the corner, I'd be surprised if the residents don't change their mind about some of their reps.

Here's an article with a few links. I don't understand why they picked that location though, there is more vacant land further north in Frisco.
