I trying so hard to decide where I will call home. I am a Navy wife, so have gone many places, but consider myself a west coast gal, I lived in San Diego 22 years, then to the lovely country Japan, then to WA state, finally back to Japan. It is now time to retire, and I am headed bcak with my two kids, leaving hubby behind to finish up his Navy areer. HE is not sure where he will find work. I however, am eager to find a new job and see If Texas( close to family), will be a place I wanna finally plant my feet! i have truly appreciated the advice on this site. I know it would be hard to return to SD, after selling out great house over 6 years ago! Yikes.hind sight...I love WA State as well, so beautiful. Of course, I want a house that is affordable, good schools, and an outdoor living lifestyle. I would saty in WA, if only people had pools!
I am expecting total culture shock in returning to the states, as I have done so once before. I am spoiled with the safety of the country. I now have the opportunity to live with my sister, and her two kids in the city of Rockwall. SHe and I can really partner up and make things happen. IS Texas retired military friendly? I had a Real Estate license in WA state, and have been in the dental industry for years. I hope I can find a good job!

You are the 2nd or 3rd person who has asked if a place is retired military friendly. What does that mean?
