Default Outdoor wedding/reception venue locations...
I am in search of an affordable Wedding/Reception Venue located Near Plano, TX. I love Southfork Ranch, but it is pricey. I am looking for something as nice as that venue, but maybe a little cheaper. Any suggestions???

I've got one to go to next month at Southfork. Try Pickle Hill in McKinney. Another option that is nice but not real close to Plano is in Rockwall at Buffalo Creek in the Pavaillion, it is indoors but w/ windows all around and you can go in and out. Then at the Firewheel Golf Course there is a Pavallion w/ indoor rooms and a large covered area off of them that overlooks a treed area. The Bridges at Firewheel has a few indoor rooms but not as large as the main area. Then there is an indoor facility in Plano off of 190 & Jupiter called Summit Ballrooms.

These are in my area but they are great - the cheapest one I can think of which would be a beautiful sunset setting is Winfrey Point at White Rock Lake. You rent the building from the Dallas Park Department. It's very hard to get though...

Also there is the Arboretum (several settings) and Fair Park Garden Center/Texas Discovery Gardens. My personal fave is the Hall of State: The Hall of State at Fair Park, Dallas, Texas That is unmatched in the world.

Reflections on Spring Creek is also a very nice location. If you book your ceremony and reception with them, you get a discount! The ceremony room has great acoustics. All of your guests will be sure to hear you exchange vows.
