The cables are going up.

There will be 29 cables on each side of the Arch. That's 58 cables in all.

World Music Stage (http://www.bridge-o-rama.com/world-music-stage.html - broken link)

From 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 3 on Singleton Blvd. (just steps away from the western end of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge) the World Music Stage will feature contemporary musical artists who have made their mark elsewhere in the world ... but are perhaps not as well known locally.

The Relatives will headline this one-of-a-kind West Dallas musical concert. With their gospel/R&B sound, the "jammin' preachers" of The Relatives grew up in West Dallas and have achieved critical acclaim in Australia, France, New York and Austin, but have never performed in Dallas...before now.

Also performing on the World Music Stage will be: Home By Hovercraft, an alt-rock ensemble that draws upon elements of traditional Irish folk music, Possessed by Paul James, an Austin-based performer whose sound is rooted in 'roots' from blues, folk, punk and bluegrass; Quimikoz Del Son, a Latin brass Cumbia band that creates a lively dance party vibe, and Rattletree Marimba, an Afroelectronica group.

Hold onto your hats...
