Hi all,

Im looking to move around the Plano, N.Dallas, Richardson, Allen area. I am open to all sorts of suggestions including other areas to move to. I am looking to move into a nice(not shanty) apartment. I know the plano area(inbetween 121,g.bush,75, and tollway) very well. I work off plano pkway near independence so a place around there would be nice. Im open to suggestions and would love to get some ideas.

Thanks!

I'd recommend checking out Archstone Apartments off of Preston and Park in Plano. From where you work and what you're looking for, this sounds like a good fit. Do you work at that Senior Living facility at the intersection of Independence and Plano Pkwy? I grew up around Custer and 15th St. about two blocks from there.

Good luck.

You might like the apartments in downtown Plano by the train station, Shops at Legacy or Austin Ranch (west of Tollway but a big social scene built in there), or Watters Creek (Bethany & 75). All are close to retail, restaurants, etc.

There are The Homes of Prairie Springs on the NE corner of Renner Road and Alma Road in Richardson. It's a nice complex with personal garage space and very close to Plano Parkway and Independence.

I would second this recommendation -- at least as far as location (there are several apt complexes in the area). Lots of good shopping nearby - including Whole Foods, and some great restaurants (try Ziziskis, Bread Winners, Zorbas) - oh and Starbucks! Musn't forget Starbucks!

Very convenient to the Tollway too.

Good luck!

I love my apartment in Far North Dallas. It's the Park on Preston apartments off Preston @Frankford. Yes the traffic on Preston can be awful, but there's actually a traffic cop out there on weekdays between 4:30-6:30 to ensure people can get in and out and most of the time the traffic is a non-issue. It's convenient to Dallas and Plano and it's cheap. My rent for the 1 bedroom is $450 and they don't have a lot of the nicest amenities, but they are well-maintained and I've never had a bug problem after living here almost 6 months. Also my electric bill last month was $29.51. (ok so money was an issue in my decision and may not be for you) If money is no object, I really envy the people who live in some of those new apartments in Frisco. They really bring the pretty. Alas, my apartment is good enough I renewed my lease and I never do that.

I'm at Trinity Square which is right off Trinity Mills/Tollway. Close to Addison/Plano/Frisco.

I like it. Can't really say more. It is pet friendly. If you want details or a referral send me a PM.

Powerbill last month was $70 for a one-bedroom. I also keep the AC set to 68 24/7

I am currently living in Allen, Tx and I love it. I was looking for a new house in that area, but I decided to look into another communities just to spend less money and save a little more, but in 7 or 8 years if I am still living here I will buy a house for sure in Allen! It has very nice schools, right now is the safest city in Dallas, it has beautiful places to go, etc... It's a perfect place for everything... You are also in the middle of 121 and 75 highway.

By the way! The prices for townhouses in Allen are way cheaper than in Plano... I recommend you to see the Suncreek Villas! I have been seeing houses and townhouses all around Dallas! And I loved the quality of those ones, because of the insulation, windows, etc, etc... The seller will explain everything to you the way she did to me. The problem is that I decided to buy a house instead of a townhome, but those are great.
