Yeah, I didn't know about the windows or the center of the building. It offers some great views.

Lots of good news!

In particular I can't wait for that River run project to start... it'll be really nice to paddle right downtown through the rapids

Default Possible New Downtown Hotel and Office Space

Massive downtown Dayton project Water Street may include hotel, developer Jason Woodard says - Dayton Business Journal

The Water Street Development just keeps getting better and better! First we had the riverfront phase under construction now. Can Dayton have ever been said to have had a real Mad River riverfront until now? That area has been almost entirely industrial dating at least back to the time of the construction of the canals, most noteably being the site of the massive Barney & Smith complex of the nineteenth century. Except for industrial purposes and Eastwood Lake the Mad has always very much been Dayton's forgotten river. This started to change a few years ago with the bike trail on it's bank and the beautiful bike trail bridge to Deed's Point at the river's mouth, and the kayaking course, but really hasn't changed until now. Now with the Water Street Development and the new Webster Street Bridge it is on it's way to being one of Dayton's gems.

This was followed by the apparent green-lighting of the old Delco factory renovation, then the proposed microbrewery on Patterson (proposed by another set of individuals I believe, but on city-owned land that Crawford Hoying has an option on, hence the Water Street association), and now in all likelihood by the new phase described in the linked article.

When it is said and done this may be one of the most transformative projects in the city's history! This is what was envisioned when the baseball stadium was built!

I just hope it doesn't wind up cannibalizing the project at the fairgrounds.
