I think they want to have it open by summer; when they closed it last year, they said about a year and a half.

Ok, this article says November 2017. http://www.whio.com/news/local/webst...wU3yS8RMNhAxM/

I wonder anout that as well. Also, there is an effort underway to unionize the Moraine plant.

They might need it. One friend I know said the fire alarms went off no less than 7 times in one shift. Moraine FD has stopped responding to them. Also, the gates weren't working one night during a tornado warning. She was "locked out" and couldn't get back in. Geeze.

I read that many employees have to use "Google Translate" to communicate with supervisors. Really? Learn the language here, supervisors!

Sounds like they have some serious issues.

Disappointing...this was a major, major loss at the hands of a company that early on couldn't stop singing Dayton's praises and expanded several times from their initial projections. They haven't identified the Ohio site that was the other site that was in the running, but I would say overwhelming odds are it was Dayton.
Fuyao is now said to considering building another US plant, in addition to the one referenced above, this one to be located somewhere in the South. Another sign that Fuyao's days of locating new operations in this area may be over, although they apparently continue to hire for what has already been announced. Of course, another possibility is that they are spreading their operations out across the country because the US auto industry is now dispersed widely around the country...there are a lot more auto plants in the South now than was the case a few decades ago. I just hope that things don't progress to the point where they actually start moving operations out of Moraine.
