^Thanks for the update, RDreisen.

I'm not happy about it though. Lots of history going to be destroyed with this move. Here's what will be demolished:

If they had traffic concerns in the district, there is a ton of vacant land directly north of these buildings where the road could be routed. Enough land to completely avoid this district and route the road through this spot the two historic buildings in the streetview have since been demolished) all the way to Keowee without interruptions.

And here's a current satellite view of the area to get an idea:

I might be writing to Citywide this weekend. And MVRPC and the City of Dayton. This is inexcusably stupid.

I guess it's not that big of a deal to me, but I understand why it would be to others.

^My inner subrubanite is rejoicing. I still think the development at the site is horrible though. Wish they would have located elsewhere in the valley.

The jobs for WPAFB would be huge. Not just for those jobs, but for future ones. I think the AF will continue to combine jobs in fewer locations, so the more jobs WPAFB has, the better their chances of getting ones in the future, IMO.

No surprise about Sonic. I never saw many people at the one close to me.

I hate Cornerstone. I am sure I will go to it, but that area is already so busy. The streets should probably be at least 3 lanes both ways. Now, all of this new stuff is being put in. On top of that they are putting a traffic light in on Wilmington VERY close to the one at Feedwire. Traffic is going to be horrible there, IMO.

I look forward to the new Emerson building and hope they can attract a couple of more companies.

Fish restaurant Quincy's to move to North Dayton - Dayton Business Journal

They'll be taking over a long-vacant building. Also, notice how Five Oaks is now 'North Dayton.'
