On Reddit the common belief with Adobe Gilas is that the Greene wanted them gone so they have then stiff lease terms and Adobe didn't take it.

Was a neat place, kinda a post-college frat-style bro bar, as far as I can tell unique for the area. It solidified the Greene as a nightlife destination, but brought problems with it. Definitely a place to get college-style wasted, so probably lots of DUIs, "tough guys" getting in fights, puking in common areas of the Greene, that kind of stuff. Might have had crime troubles too, I don't know. Either way, it may have not been as family friendly as the Greene wanted, and maybe residents complained enough to get rid of it. I really don't know all of what happened.

But yeah, I think weatherphotographer was referencing vacancies at Town and Country, not The Greene.

Adobe Gillas had major health violations, per the WKEF/WRGT story about it. Could be another reason.

Ah. Yeah that would do it haha. If that's the case then it deserved to be shut down.

I've worked in foodservice management long enough to know that any health and/or safety violation is unacceptable. The standards are low, it's easy to keep a place clean, healthy, and safe. All it requires is having the right amount of staff and the right processes. If they can't even do that.... then their chain has real issues.
