Although I've lived in the Dayton area my whole life, I'm having trouble finding a family doctor I really like and trust. At the moment I live in Miamisburg, so someone south of town would be great, but I'm willing to travel a bit if necessary. Does anyone have a family doctor who's thorough, conscientious and who you really like?

I go to Dr. Catherine Sargent in Beavercreek at Family Medicine Care. She's very thorough and I really like that she utilizes a more holistic approach rather than just treating symptoms and rushing you at the door.

I agree with Peasant. Some of the doctors also teach at Wright State. If it is a cas where you need to be seen that day and your regular doctor isn't available, they will try to fit you in with another one. Each doctor has their own private email, and they answer you pesonally.

Dr. Robert Sawyer in Miamisburg - office is across from the hospital on Leiter Road. He is affiliated with Kettering Hospital. Good, thorough, friendly, specializes in Internal Medicine. Good guy - you would like him. Also, Wright State Physicians in Beavercreek (Darst Road) - Marybeth Rodes - Internal medicine. She is wonderful, thorough, kind, knows her stuff, and I truly miss her. We moved out of state and I would have packed her and brought her along if I could have!!!

If you were referring to WSP before they merged all their practices, then yeah, that wasn't a bad idea. But since they have a garbage heap going now, with the inclusion of the lazies from WSU Derm, it is a complete crapfest.

So bad, that they can't keep appointments in the system correctly, fail to call in RX, and their phone system was majorly jacked up. You press 2 for Derm and it sends to you to some other department?

I'd run for the hills before screwing with WSP
