This guy has a history of mental illness, so I don't find this story funny. He obviously needs more help than he is getting.

Don't worry Spud, there's always room to discuss that general topic on one of the many other threads here devoted to the same general purpose....

Back on topic. The subject of the article posted earlier did have mental health problems.

It is harsh though. I skewered you so well on one of the last posts.

On topic; mental health problems are a normal human condition.

This is not the thread to discuss mental health issues. Though I find it hard to believe you would consider illnesses such as Bipolar, Psychotic Disorders, or PTSD as a normal human condition. Instances of "the blues" are normal. The guy in the article clearly had issues that were abnormal.

Why, yes. Jesus saves.

For the longest time before I had a smart phone I carried around a pocket Bible. It was a new King James, the kind that the people hand out on campuses, the Gideons bibles if I recall correctly. I don't know how many times I had to "build" a new back and cover for it using gorilla tape. It's been through a lot.

Now, YouVersion is my friend.

When I was in undergrad and minoring in Religious Studies, I had this gigantic Bible for academic use--maps, timelines, different translations on the lower half of the page, and so one. That thing would've stopped a cannon ball, I swear.
