Hi everyone! Have been in Centerville for almost 8 months now. Aside from the bitter cold we are really enjoying it here. My oldest is loving the Miami Valley School and the toddler is running us all ragged. New question:

We have a babysitter this weekend and I would love to take the husband out somewhere. What are your date night recommendations? It doesn't have to be out to dinner. Anywhere doing anything fun in the area. We are not party at a club type people (too old and tired) but would love suggestions on fun things to do.

^ Very glad to hear all is going well, meggoo!

As for date ideas during this time of year, here's a few ideas off the top of my head:

- Dinner and a show - try out one of the area comedy club (Funny Bone at the Greene or Wiley's in the OD) or LaComedia
La Comedia Dinner Theatre - "A Taste of Broadway"
Wiley's Comedy Niteclub
Dayton Funny Bone

- Scene 75! Scene75 Entertainment Center | Dayton, Ohio

- A fun trip to Jungle Jim's followed up by a drive around Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park. And possibly dinner/drinks at this nice restaurant overlooking downtown Hamilton and the Miami River: https://www.facebook.com/jaustinsriverbankcafe
Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park
Jungle Jim's International Market

....and I'm sure there are other things too that might work. The issue is most of the things that I immediately think of are outdoors! But then again my ideal date would be a nice dinner followed by a leisurely walk around a cool neighborhood or park haha.

Your best resource for specific ideas would be here:

But regardless, you need to check this place out.... somehow.... Its atmosphere is awesome!

Good luck and have fun!

Hey meggoo,

Very sorry about the lack of response to your last Q.

Anyways, hope your date night went well! And hope you picked a good place to go.

If it didn't always good to know where NOT to go in the valley as well haha.
