Amazing!

Flyers will play Ohio State in NCAA tournament | www.daytondailynews.com

Win or lose, I'm just excited to see this happen. OSU is seeded at #6 in the tournament, UD is #11.

I'm just hoping UD puts up a good effort. I think honestly that they can win it with the right strategy. UD is a solid team, and has a great fan base.

Go Flyers!

That's cool...reminds me when OSU, OU & Xavier were all doing well in the tournament a few years back. I think Dayton could pull off an upset; wouldn't be the first time it happened.

They have a problem with consistency. One week they'll beat a top 25 team and the next week they are capable of loosing to Nowhere Community College.

These two teams did play in the NIT in 2008 on OSU's way to winning the NIT. Also, Wright State will open CIT play at East Carolina.

Really excited for Dayton to get a shot at OSU. As a Dayton fan (family has had season tickets for over 50 years) it's great to see them back in the NCAA tournament. Even better to get a crack at the Buckeyes. Tip time has been announced for Thursday at 12:15....which stinks. I'm sure bars and restaurants were hoping for 7 or 9.

Seems like Archie Miller has things on the right track.

The First 4 also got 2 good games. NC State vs Xavier, Tuesday night. Iowa vs Tennessee, Wednesday. All large fan bases which should pump $$ into the area.

^haha nice!

I'm currently at Miami University. I can honestly say I would not even care if our team made it into the NCAA tournament (but the thought of that ever happening in my lifetime is laughable haha).

Even if UD made it for another sport I probably wouldn't care as much. But something about UD basketball, at UD Arena, is great. It can't be replicated anywhere else. It feels like Basketball.

... and that's why I hope they win. For OSU, it's just another team among many star-studded teams they field. For UD, it is THE sport. Go Flyers!

Go Flyers!

I had to adjust my vacation schedule so I won't be on the road on Thursday afternoon. LOL I have my priorities.

Until they ran into St. Joe's in the A-10 tournament, they were on a roll. Hope that game is just a bad memory come Thursday afternoon.

Ever since moving to Ohio I've realized how truly obnoxious most of the OSU fan base is. I'll be supporting the Flyers this week.

^Yep, they definitely can be obnoxious haha. For some of them it's near life/death if the Buckeyes win or lose haha.

Related topic - Anyone out there going (or went) to the First Four games today and tomorrow? More importantly, anyone rooting against Xavier?
