I lived in Colorado Springs for 10 years and I have lived in Dayton/Cinci now for 10 years.

If you are an outdoors type that likes to be alone/quiet, Dayton would be a horrible decision. Weather is crap compared to the springs and there are people everywhere.. you can not get away from the people.

If you are into Christian Conservativeism teaparty, Dayton is where it's at. If you are into eating a lot and enjoy food, Dayton is better.

It's harder to eek out a living in Colorado (depending on what you do). Jobs are plentiful and cost of living is low in Dayton.

It really just depends on your situation and who you are as a person as to which one is better.

If you like to garden, you should be in Ohio. If you like dry, sunny weather and hiking, Colorado is the way to go.

If you just want to sit inside and watch TV and buy cool furniture, Dayton is a better choice.. See what I mean? It all just depends on your personality.

If you like hiking, here ar some places. I am sure there are plenty more in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and other places close enough to go to if you like to hike.

Thanks for sharing. I would advise you to check out the bike trails and canoeing/kayaking while you're here.... as well as the hiking in places like John Bryan SP, Germantown Metropark, and Charleston Falls.

There is a lot to do here.... just takes a bit more effort to find it. And we can certainly help with locating this kind of stuff.

Good luck!
