Quite some time ago the Dayton Daily News ran something called The North Valley Notebook. It was interesting.

I saved some of the links because I didn't have time to read the stuff at the time. And, the day came when the links didn't work. I have tried everything I can think of without getting a subscription.

Any suggestions?

You can probably call the paper, give them the date the story ran and see if it appeared in print. If so, you can probably puchase that issue of the paper.

Might be a long shot, but you could try the Internet Archive Wayback Machine at https://archive.org/web/
