I don't live there anymore but I don't think any buslines other than Greyhound run between the cities. They're not really that close. It can be an hour away. Sometimes more, sometimes less. And it depends on what region of Dayton you would be leaving from. Sorry I cant be of more help. I don't remember any bus routes that travel between the two cities because they're kinda far apart. A passenger/cargo train would be cool though. But there aren't any passenger trains either.

As the pines said, sorry. There is no known commuter bus service running between Cincinnati and Dayton. On average, from Beavercreek to downtown Cincy, it runs about an hour to an hour and a half commute depending on traffic and weather. Mass transit of any kind would probably do well bewtween these two cities, with possible stops in Middletown or West Chester.

There is the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA) that runs bus service over a large area. They have routes that run from areas such as West Chester and Mason to the downtown area. You may need to plan your timing more carefully, but it would save you driving in rush hour traffic all the way south. The West Chester area seems to be where the worst of the traffic seems to begin as it is just outside of the 275 loop. Some of the runs from West Chester to downtown are express. They call it the West Chester Job Connection. Here is a link to their website where you can find more info, rates and schedules.

An editorial in today's Hamilton paper urges expanding the Mass Transit in SW Ohio and mentions efforts already in progress.

Keep pushing for transit system
