Default Finding an apartment in dayton ohio

Hey everyone, I am looking for a good apartment in the Dayton area, preferably one that offers military discounts. Can anyone tell me some good ones and what they offer?
Thanks!

You might want to check with the base housing office as they have lists of apts. and might be able to tell you which ones have military discounts.

Here's some contact info:

housing office stuff

You might want to look into the privatized housing "The Praries", which is brand new and are townhouses. They are not really on base, either (outside the gate), so it has the look and feel like an off-base housing development.

One thing to be aware of, if your PCSing here, is that nearly all incoproated areas have city income taxes, which could negate any discount you might recieve.

The exception to that is Beavercreek, which is very close to the base and does have some newer apartments. Further afield, about 20-30 minutes from base on I-675, Washington Township has plenty of apartments without a city income tax.

I am at the Promenade apartments in Beavercreek. If you're looking for a really nice place close to work (a little pricey too $700/sgl-$850/dbl), this is the place to be. I have less than a 5 minute drive to work each day, and also shopping, restaurants, and groceries are literally down the street.

There is a place called Ashton Brooke in Beavercreek that offered 1 month off for military...but that was a promotional three years ago. May look into it though...

I agree with Jeffery about looking into "The Praries" or the Beavercreek and Washington Township areas. There are dozens of complexes that come to my mind between Washington Twp and Beavercreek, but I'll name the few that I know are new and offer military discounts.

Beavercreek: Mallard Landing, Ashton Brooke, The Enclave, Emarald Landing, and The Promanade.

Washington Twp: Normandy Club, Chesapeake Landing, and Washington Park.

Again, there are several others scattered about as well as numerous condos in condo developments that are for rent, especially around the Mall at Fairfield Commons (Brookstone in Beavercreek, Reserves of Beavercreek).

However, if you have children attending schools, Beavercreek and Washington Twp. (which is Centerville city schools) offer better returns on educational value then the Mad River School District (where "The Praries" are located).
