Default Tourist Activities

I need advice on "tourist" activities. My parents, who are in their late 60's, will be visiting for several days next week, and I need to find something to do with them so they aren't just sitting around the house feeling bored every day. We have only lived here a few months, so I'm really not sure what to show them in the area. Hopefully they will visit again when the weather gets warmers so we can do some good outdoor things... I heard next week is still supposed to be quite chilly - they are coming from 70 degree weather and really don't appreciate the cold! Any suggestions are most appreciated. Thanks!

For indoor things the Air Force Museum and the Wright Brothers national park off West Third. Both are indoors, though you would have to have a brief walk outside between the interpretetive center and bike shop for the Wright Brothers museum.

If they like history you could drive down to Cincinnati to the Museum Center in Union Terminal as there is a nice history museum there.

For Art there is the DAI here in Dayton and the Cincinnati Art Museum.

You could also check out the Patterson Homestead, which is an historic home built by the influential Patterson family in the early 1800's. Dayton History | Patterson Homestead.
There is also the Peace Museum, if that sounds interesting. Dayton International Peace Museum.

Besides the Dayton Art Institute, there is the Dayton Visual Arts Center, Dayton Visual Arts Center Home.

If your dad likes classic cars, or just a trip down memory lane, there is also the Packard Museum America's Packard Museum - The Citizens Motorcar Company. If your mom is into cooking, she may like the KitchenAid Experience, which is outside of Dayton in Greenville, Oh. KitchenAid: KitchenAid Experience® Center. Greenville is also the home of Annie Oakley, and there is museum about her and other area history. Garst Museum - Home of the Annie Oakley Center. Bear's Mill is also in Greenville...it's a national historic site which is still in operation Bear's Mill.

Everything else I've been to is outdoors, but this should give you a few more more things to consider!
