Hi,
We are moving to Dayton..& thinking about Huber Heights, Vandalia, Englewood, Kettering or Beavercreek area. Can you suggest us the area.. for good apartments, near to shopping & hospital & diversified community.
Does anyone know about Bent tree Condo & Pine Run Townhomes.? I didn't get any apartment reviews on bent Tree..but otherwise it seems ok.

I grew up in Vandalia and still like it...out of your mentioned towns, it is probably the smallest with the least shopping, therefore having the least traffic. Englewood is right next door and has more shopping and restaurants. Compared to the two, Huber is huge and has tons of shopping and more traffic because of it. Kettering, being south of town, is bigger, has some good shopping and tons of traffic. Beavercreek is newer, not sure how it is now, but the housing I hear is more pricey than the first three. Huber is more diverse than Vandalia or Englewood, not sure about the other two...Kettering has a great hospital system; my parents go there and they still live in Vandalia.
Sorry to ramble! I don't recognize either of those apartments; hopefully someone else knows them.
Good luck!

I know there are a lot of apartments up by the Fairfield Commons Mall in Beavercreek. That area is diverse with many Asian families living there because it's at the front door to the bases research and engineering area. The base hospital is probably the closest hospital but only accesible for people with access to the air force base. Kettering Health Networks is planning on building a hospital up there off Pentagon Blvd, but that is at least 5 years off, probably a little longer. Traffic can be a little troublesome at rush hour, but overall, it flows around the mall pretty well except in the weekends leading up to Christmas. Beavercreek is probably the more expensive of the bunch, but with it come outstanding schools and services. The apartments are also probably the newest of the communities.
Some of the names are Mallard Landing, The Enclave, The Promanade of Beavercreek, Ashton Brook, Wexford on the Green, and Emerald Lakes. There are also condos for rent by private owners in surrounding neighborhoods in northern Beavercreek.

I have lived at Bent Tree and the townhomes are spaceous and they have a nice layout and fireplace, but for the money you can hear everything going on at your neighbors! My husband and I could hear our neighbors phone ring and hear her coughing (which she did an awful lot, poor lady!). Pine Run is next to it I think and a little dated although they do have many floor plans to choose from. If you don't mind the noise then Bent Tree would be a better choice. I live in Huber Heights now and came across this when I was looking for where we want to buy a house. So if you plan on moving in the next few months, you might see if this place is for rent that we live in. 3 bedroom, finished basement, good size. We have lived here for 3 years and are only moving because we are ready to buy. It's a condo (actually called a pod because the backyard is fenced and is our own responsibility). Cool place though. Good luck with your search!

If you're looking at the Huber Heights area for the price of Bent Tree you could rent a house. In Huber Heights that would be your best bet.
