Looking for fairs/festivals with a craft theme.
I'm looking for help in finding various festivals to sell at. I was recently laid off like many in Dayton & I'm looking to supplement my income (or lack there of). I have a small shop on etsy. I'm not sure if the forums allow you to list links or if it's considered advertising but if you're interested the link is on my profile.
I'm looking for smaller festivals right now because booth fees are usually cheaper. So any help would be appreciated. Surrounding areas are also welcome.
Thanks for the help!

There's the strawberry festival in early June in Troy Ohio and also Poultry Days in Versailles also around the same time. The festivals really pick up in the summer months that I'm sure you can find one almost every weekend if you so choose. Unfortunately I don't think there are too many in the spring months because of the unpredictable weather. I'm sure there are a few but I'm at a loss to early festivals.
Good Luck!

County fairs, tractor shows, the area flea markets, and many large festivals are definitely here. I know that out in the sticks, we get Pioneer Rural electric which provides us with a monthly magazine that lists all of these events, so search around on the web for a while. Good Luck!

The Preble County Pork Festival in Eaton would be a good place to check out. It's not until September, but they get a LOT of people there. I love it. So much to look at.
Do you mind if I ask what kind of crafts you make? Depending on what it is, you could conceivably sign up for craft shows at various nursing homes and schools in the area. Call around and see if they have anything coming up.

Thank you all for the help!
If you have any more ideas it would be appreciated. So far I'm finding a bunch in Columbus & Cincy but not much around here. Maybe one every other month.

The flickr is better right now because I'm not listing as much on my shop to build up stock for the festivals.

Try this website, the Ohio Festivals and Events Association:
Ohio Festivals & Events Association
You can sort by county, date, etc., to find a festival. Not all festivals are members of this association, but it's a start.
Every respectable small town in Ohio has a festival. You can probably Google each little town and find a festival in most of them.
Some I can think of off the top of my head around Dayton are the Germantown Pretzel Festival, the Spring Valley Potato Festival, the Ohio Sauerkraut Festival in Waynesville (that's a wayyyy bigger one, though), the Apple Festival in Lebanon, Mason Heritage Festival, etc. etc. etc.
And then there are all the county fairs, many of which allow outside vendors.

Thank you. These are some new ones for me that I have never heard of (besides the sauerkraut one).
