spring valley township vs. Dayton/Mad River School District area (Huber Heights: sale, houses)

Hello,
We are considering some homes in the Dayton area. One home is located near Xenia, but in the Spring Valley Township and the others are in Dayton, with Mad River Schools. I believe that the Dayton houses are closer to WPAFB where my husband needs to work. We are not sure how far Spring Valley Township is from WPAFB and if the schools there are good.
I have been reading posts and one said that it might not be too far from Spring Valley to WPAFB. I haven't seen any posts about Sugar Creek Schools. So, any information about Spring Valley would be appreciated. We lived in Huber Heights once and have an idea where these houses are in the Mad River School district.

Sugarcreek schools are better, but the commute from the Mad River twp./Riverside area is about half the length of the one from Spring Valley twp. You might also feel more at home in the Mad River are , as well, since you mentioned that you were from Huber.

Still, just come down for a visit sometime and see which feels like an area that you would rather live in. Just to give you a heads up, Riverside would feel older, more established, and maybe more urban while Spring Valley Twp. will feel more rural-sprawly.

Thanks, I will look at Riverside. I just found out that the house I was thinking about is pending sale so Spring Valley is not on the table anymore.

The area in Mad River that is part of Dayton has three different school districts. We have friends who live there, and some go to Huber Height schools, some go to Fairborn schools, and the south side of Kittridge goes to Mad River Schools.
Mad River Schools are pretty good. They have an excellent honors program. Their sports teams are fairly good. Football has a new coach that is doing a complete turnaround wih the team to the point they are finally scoring. The soccer teams are fairly good also. (If you can't tell, I've got two grandkids who go to Stebbins)
