The whole bird ordeal was hilarious -- if you werent the one being dive-bombed every time you tried to help the bird out of the house. I was too lazy to put up the portable screen door yesterday -- but never again will I just leave the back door open for Queenie to go in and out at her leisure.
Queenie is also worn out from last night's bird ordeal. She was so terrified last night that she ran into the garage and wouldnt come into the house.
I didnt blame her in the least. The bird must have dive-bombed her before it started taking aim at me.
I read that mockingbirds lay their eggs in March-April and are very aggressive about their territory. This bird had no desire to leave the house but did exhibit a desire to kill me.
In addition to the ordeal from yesterday, I bought a small exercycle recently....the kind where you can sit in a chair and exercise your legs. I have it under my computer desk and used it for the first time the day before yesterday.
So, not only am I sore from the big fall (I'm still amazed at how hard the ceramic floor is when you fall flat against it), but my legs are also very sore from that exercycle.
Oh, that photo looks painful -- like the bird is trying to get some nesting material. But that's exactly how close the bird got to me many times last night.
My brother-in-law said that the mockingbird probably dive-bombed Queenie in the back yard -- and then followed Queenie into the house while chasing her. That would explain why Queenie was so scared.
I thought it was a woodpecker TFW....sorry.
I still would've killed the bird.
I'm like that.
I beat a mouse to death with a broom once.
I'm very territorial.
She could've gotten smore of some lovin' since there was nothing else to do.
Didn't she say they busted a spring? Don't come a knockin'.........
