After work, I went with one of my best friends and coworkers out to eat and then we went to Kmart for something she was looking for. It was nice just to do something different. We agreed we would go out and do something on the Saturdays we have to work so we will look forward to the day. (It took us 3 years of working together to come up with this plan............)
For those of you cyber shopping on Monday....there looks to be lots of great deals!! Truthfully, I just don't buy that much stuff...even at the holidays. It is still fun to post them though.
GLAD TEXAS is finally getting RAIN! It will probably take a good year or more to bring the water tables up to par.

A group of 7 or 8 of us get together once a month for lunch and shopping and a movie. We are all retired and we worked together for years. One friend has 5 young grandchildren and when we get together she always says "Oh, it is so nice to have some adult conversation."

I understand. As much as I love being retired, I recently realized that, unless I talk to my sister or my daughter or my doctor on the phone (or see them in person), I dont have conversations with anyone. In one way, it's nice -- but, in another way, I miss it. I'd even take "grandchildren" talk, but all my grandkids are teenagers or in their 20's.

The kids survived their camping, but opted for only one night instead of two. Apparently, all the
campgrounds (regular and primitive) were booked and they ended up setting up on a nature trail without permission. They didn't get caught....but decided not to try their luck another night. Israel
had great fun getting to pee on a tree. (His eyes light all up as he tells me this.....males are odd.)

I think that camping can be very therapeutic. I know how much it means to you. It's your release from every day stuff.
Reading is my therapy and I think that C-D serves as a form of therapy foor all of us.
Bwwaahahahahaha. Those were the good ol' days. It's been over 40 years ago. Gulp!
