What a beautiful sentiment, Camper. I agree 200%.

And thanks so very much to everyone who's expressed well-wishes to me on the surgery I need. Actually, I havent decided whether or not to have it yet. I had a similar operation in 2006 and suffered a stroke in the middle of it. So I'm somewhat reluctant to undergo it again. I'd appreciate prayers that I can make the right decision about what to do.

Was wondering that also but figured she probably went camping.

I bet Camp and hubby are out enjoying the wilds in their RV. She usually tells us about it before they go but they might have decided at the last minute to go.

We're here for you tfw, just not every day.

We have plans to go see the fall colors tomorrow......they are nearby. They are here sooner this year because of the drought......

We went to a little community Octoberfest in town yesterday.....won't go again until it grows.

Some field mice destroyed a few cantaloupes, so I am NOT happy.

We've both been pooped lately.......do they still sell Geritol?

Oh, I'm so jealous! That's the worst part of living in FL, no fall colors to enjoy. And I'm from New England, so I miss the leaves so much. Then again, I heard it snowed in Maine this weekend, and I'm still comfortably warm, so that's the trade-off. *sigh*

Well, it's too chilly today so we have put it off until later this week. (I'm still wearing shorts and don't feel like switching to sweats yet). It snowed in the mountains closer to Denver early this morning. A cold front came through in the middle of the night. It'll be here for a few days and then the weekend will be @ 80.......(this is a repeat of last week, except last week we had a good amount of rain one day and night).

The weekend was beautiful here, @ 80 degrees, but we didn't want to deal with crowds, so we thought we'd go today, but when I woke up, I said 'na'. (We are turning into locals........hahaha! When we lived at the beach in CA., we never went to Laguna Beach during the weekend either....)

We have been watching a 6-part/12-hour series called 'Out of the West' or something like that......it is a rerun....I have no idea where we were when it first aired a few years back. It is by Spielberg and is really good. Early 1800's, moving west, fights with Indians, buffalo hunting, marrying for convenience and not because of love, devastation of disease, finding gold in the rivers. It shows how hard life was.

And we LOVE Hell on Wheels! It's in its 2nd season, I think. (Maybe 3rd). It's almost over again. It is so good! It is moving west, issues with slaves who are now free, clashes between Irish immigrants and former slaves, Indians, building of the railroad.
