The rain blew through here too fast. We got a little wetness and a lot of wind. (That's probably why you slept through it, Camper.)
I knew it looked bad up your way, Ketabcha. So sorry -- although I admire how well you're taking it. What kind of flooring do you have in your sunken den?

The news is showing all kinds of flooding and high water rescues but nothing close to us.
I could sleep thru the house blowing away when I take my pill.
San Antonio has a lot of underpasses that flood if the dew is heavy. I drove there at least once a month for 15+ years (for competition dog obedience shows) and always had to check the weather forecast before figuring out what route to take to my destination.
Camper, do you take that sleeping pill every night?
Ever since my stroke, I've had terrible restless legs. I take a pill (designed to treat parkinson's but also effective for restless legs) for it -- but I've had to increase the dosage and dont like doing that. I've been wondering if a sleeping pill would work as well or better.
Yes, I take Ambien every night. Been doing it for years. The only side affect is I sleep like a baby most nights. Lol. Every once in awhile I will have a night where I don't sleep at all due to pain but that's very seldom.

Carpet. It's about 20 years old. I've wanted to put in wood flooring but my neighbor and his wife did last year and he got flooded. It warped his flooring. I don't want to deal with that. So, I just keep the carpet. I have to get new padding when it floods but that is no big deal. I can pull up that carpeting lickety split. I have not replaced it because I always clean it after it gets wet. I may decide to go with a tile floor. 18" tiles.
I used to really stress about things like this but I quit stressing about the small stuff in 2008 when my mother got colon cancer (she is perfectly fine now). This kind of flooding is minor stuff. A friend once told me "If it can be fixed with money then it is not a tragedy." She's right and one of the coolest people I know. It also helps that I am on a very mild antidepressant. lol

No wonder you don't remember if you ordered freebies or not.
I rarely have trouble falling asleep. All I have to do is turn on the TV or a show on the computer and lay down. This is true ANY time of the day. If I didn't drink so much coffee all the time....I'm not sure how much of the day I would actually be awake. This has been true for the past 4 years or so.
I didn't post last night because sometimes it leaves Bob nothing to post the next morning. I'll be back after I take Izzy to school to post the other stuff.
I took Izzy to school and then several family members called when I got home....so I'm SO FAR BEHIND in posting.
