I was thinking that it would be fun to have a Forum on CDF to tell about GREAT DEALS you recently purchased. I know that I bought Fresh Express Spinach on sale for a dollar at Albertson's last week with a dollar off coupon, so I then got it for FREE . WOOHOO!! It all adds up my friend .

Then, earlier in the week, I shopped at Kohl's department store and not only bought all my items at ~55% off, but then got an additional 15% for putting the purchase on a Kohl's charge card and an extra $20 Kohl's cash for future purchases. It saved me a 'bunch' of money and I really needed everything that I bought.

How about YOU? Any recent STEAL of a DEAL you like to share with your friends here at CDF ???

I don’t normally find any steals or deals. However when I have a yard sale ~ everyone else gets a bargain.

I always shop clearance racks. I bought some pillow shams at macy's for $3.99. They were originally $20.00. I only needed 2 dark blue ones to complete the look but I found pink ones at the same price so I bought those, too!

You know you have a deal when the sales person asks if there are any more left in the bin! I used to work in retail so if I pick up the last of anything (and the sales person asks about it) I'll leave some behind if I really don't need it.

Once at JCPenney's they had this amazing clearance going on throughout the store- I bought some cute summer shirts (billowy tank tops, gauzy shirts, etc.) for $1.98. There are great sales out there if you know where to look.

I found a designer scarf for $.25 at a thrift store and sold it on eBay for $102.50. Also, I sold for over $400.00 a pair of WWII paratrooper boots that a friend purchased at a thrift store for $3.50.

I bought an old skool patio furniture set for $25 at a garage sale. Found out, I could resell just one of the chairs on Ebay for over $400. But I love it so much I'm not getting rid of it!

If you live in NE Ohio and have shopped at Marc's - ...you've had plenty of steals and deals.
They also have a pre-paid gas card that saves you 10 cents off a gallon.
Marc's - Fuel Cards

Another grocery store in Ohio called Giant Eagle - (http://www.gianteagle.com/main/article13.jsp?CONTENT%3C%3Ecnt_id=1149587&FOLDER%3 C%3Efolder_id=1109577&bmUID=1185220332437 - broken link) let's a customer save
10 cents off a gallon of gas for every $50.00 spent.
I let mine build up for a little while now and decided today to fill up the gas tank....
...and guess how much it was???.....
..... 65 cents a gallon!! ...lol

I recently bought a great pair of white lightweight jean style pants at Old Navy for .99 cents!!! Not my first great bargain at Old Navy, my local store does not sell plus sizes, but since I am a plus size, I know that sometimes they are on their clearance rack. I got an awesome green corduroy jacket for .97 cents there last year.
My bittersweet all time great purchase was on E-bay recently. I have a fetish for large clocks but could never afford to buy th size I want. I fould noe for $8.00 on e-bay, it had a small split on the wooden frame that was easily fixable, plus near the #1, so it wouldn't be noticable on the wall. Well, when it arrived, the glass was completely shattered and from rolling around in the box, it scratched the clock face and the wood frame. Glass cannot be replaced the way the clock is made. I got a full refund, but really wanted the clock!!! It retails for $400.

Love this thread-

$25 a gallon paint for $5 ("oops" paint-a greenish-khaki color- for accent wall)....$40 porch light for $5 and $87 dining room chandelier for $19 all at Lowes last weekend. Now, will some guy come over and hang them for me? (I can paint!)

Old Navy is notorious for super bargains! So is the GAP if you ever shop there, too. I wish I could find .99 cent jeans but the closest I came was some windbreakers and sweatshirts for $2.97 ea. at old navy.

Barnes and Noble online has great deals on Hardcover books. I buy them in the discount section and a couple of weeks ago I got 8 hardcover books for $28.00 and free shipping. I was pretty happy with that!
