I couldn't figure out where to post this, but figured deals, free stuff, etc. was the closest. I have 40,500 Hilton Honors points, I see on the website where it tells you about free nights for as low as something like 7,500 - I seem to recall that you used to be able to see the actual hotels and how much. They sent an email saying my points will expired 8/1!!!! unless I get a credit card, stay at a hotel, etc. - I want to just stay somewhere (and we NEED IT) free - within driving distance. Anybody know how to figure it how? Appreciate any help. TIA

I've never used them, so I'm not familiar with how to redeem them. If you want to pick one of the categories on the above linked page (to what area you want to redeem your points for), I would be happy to try to sort it out for you.
Another option would be to read around on any number of travel forums online and see what sort of info you can get there. One good one is Trip Adviser. Here is their forum:
