Today's the day!!!!

Had rehearsal yesterday and it was like herding cats!! Lol. This is going to be the most laid back fun wedding ever. Thought I was going to die from the heat though. First thing i did when we left was head to Michael's and buy a box of hand held paper fans. They are white and the kind Scarlet O'Hare used. I have a few that fold up I keep on me at all times. They really come in handy in Texas! Michaels had them in a box of 15 for $19.99 in the wedding section but there was a 40 % off coupon I could use, Not a bad deal at all. I will pass them out to the laddies tonight. Should be a short ceremony so It wont be to bad,

Be thinking if me!!!!!!!!

Ah, back to my normal boring life!!! ha ha . I don't think I've ever been so happy to have nothing to do.

I am going to get my butt back on the treadmill starting today and get back to a regular routine. I miss my walking. Just turn on the tv or look out the window and walk. What could be easier, right? well evidently STARTING!! lol. I've been putting it off cuz of the wedding using the excuse that I might pull a muscle or something.

If you don't hear from me, that may have actually happened.

LOL at loney Camper! It's been too darned hot for me to do anything.

I do have good news to report about Lulu, though. I think I told youall about how her immune system was compromised by her spay surgery and how, as a result, she contracted canine papilloma virus. When I adopted her she had two "horns" on her abdomen and one small oral wart on her lip. I had them removed because the horns started growing very large and were covered with fungus. (Yuck)

Surgery was the wrong thing to do, however, as the horns came back 30-fold and her lips and chin and the inside of her mouth were totally covered in h-u-g-e warts (they look like cauliflower). The vet had no ideas so I searched the internet and found that many owners had good luck giving their CPV dogs the antibiotic azithromycin.

Although an antibiotic isnt effective against a virus, the thinking is that the azithromycin kills the bacteria on which the CPV feeds. So I bought some azithromycin from a vet in California (my vet wouldnt sell it to me) and started Lulu on a 14-day round. One week after the 14-days ended, a huge black horn, which had grown to 6" in diameter and looked malignant, disappeared. Then the oral warts inside her mouth disappeared. Now the ones covering all her lips are shrinking. This is the happiest I've been in 4 months!

Below is that the growth on her abdomen looked like. Unbelievable that it's now gone.
