Congrats on being approved for SSD, Flamingo. I know the reality of it all is hard but I hope you'll be able to adapt somehow. I dont know anything about SSD -- can you get a small part-time job while you're on SSD? I agree that having to find a roommate would be difficult -- I coudnt do it after all these years alone.

Merry Christmas, everyone! Hope your holiday season is as wonderful as you each deserve. I also hope to be able to get back here more often. Life has got to slow down here.

Got up early this morning and went shopping with my daughter. Have loved spending the last few days with her!! She only lives 10 minutes away but has been at my house since Christmas Eve! I've been in heaven!

Got all my wrapping paper and tissue. Bows and ribbons for next year pulse a few bonus gifts for this year. Let's just say I can't afford to save anymore money this year. Lol.

But I'm done. Going to start packing it all up tomorrow do we can get serious about getting ready to paint and get the new flooring in. I hope I'm not still saying that this time next year!

How wonderful that you got to spend so much time with your daughter, Camper. I'm jealous.

And I, too, buy giftwrap and gift bags after Christmas and in early January. Online shops have really great sales this time of year. In fact, I "saved" so much money after Christmas last year that I have enough giftwrap and bags for the next 4-5 years.

Would love to see photos of your painting and new flooring, when available.

Still trying to convince hubby to just let's hire it out but he keeps saying how much we can save by doing it our selfs. Grrrr... We built the dang house. I'm done!
