Hi all, was looking at the posts in this forum and see many pointing to websites for freebies.

I saw a few I'd like to try but.....

For those of you who go there and sign up do you get tons of spam emails afterwards?

Or do you supply a phony email address?

thanx

~peter

I have one email address specifically for freebies. And, yes, that email addy does get a lot of spam. I just go into it and mark all the emails as spam every so often. It's worth it for the great freebies. As a result of Bob's freebie posts here, I have a freebie subscription to Better Homes & Gardens that runs through 2022.

Welcome Peter.

Definitely use another email address for freebies and contests!

Always, always use a spambox for freebies, you will get tons of mail from signing up for these, my poor yahoo inbox gets 300 to 500 messages a week from all the freebies I've signed up for.

I wouldn't advise using a phony email address because some freebies require you to confirm that you did indeed request the freebie. Just use a separate email address. I use a special one for freebies, sweepstakes etc. I go thru the inbox periodically and delete what is junk. But I have to be careful because I have won things before and if I hadn't read
the email or the subject line I would have missed out on the prize.
