For those who dont want "to be bothered with unwanted ads", the solution is simple: just dont come to this forum.
Or they can use a throwaway email, like I do -- and never check it except to delete the spam emails. Of course, some freebie companies want you to verify your email address by responding to an email they send you, so I do go looking for their email request and then verify the throwaway email address.
And, yes, I furnish my home address in order to get freebies mailed to me. But I've never seen an increase in junk mail as a result of that. In fact, since I added my address to the no-junk-mail lists, I get almost no junk mail at all:
