I just ate lunch after getting home from work. I listened to the kids arguing over the toilette seat being up or down in their bathroom. Same argument they've been having since they were 9....but after a decade of it....it is really getting old.

I wonder why other people have kids who move out and stay out.....and mine keep coming back.

I take it you have one of each?? How old?? I'm still at the point where I want my girl to live here forever...but want her to have her own home too.

I do still ground her for not cleaning her room! ha ha.

My daughter is 19. She has a two year old son who's Dad just turned 17. Need I say more? We would qualify for the trailer trash version of a reality show.

I also have a 18 year old son. No school. No work. But he's really good at video games. Qualifies us for yet another reality show called 'Intervention'.

Then I have the 30 year old son who is a college professor. Different dad gene pool.

I hear you. I miss the bantering believe it or not.

We were relocated from Va to the Midwest past Oct-husband's job. Both kids stayed in Va. Moving to IL was our 2nd relocation. Originally from NY-neither kid wanted to move again!
My 19 yr old daughter is going to college in Richmond and living with her 23 yr old. brother/son.

We miss them sooo much.

I'll be more than happy to share my two with you!!

Oh...I actually DO miss them when they aren't around. But you would think once they are almost adults that they would quit arguing over totally stupid stuff.

I didn't get any freebies in the mail today....but I did get a nice Rebate check I've been waiting for. I love when this happens between paydays.

Sorry, GloryB when I posted, your post wasn't up yet. I would not have responded like I did.

Everyone must be thinking HUH??

I'm sorry about your situation. Hopefully your younger kids will turn themselves around-they are still young.

I thought it made perfect sense. There actually ARE moms who miss their kids because THEIR kids MOVE OUT! I missed my oldest son terribly when he went to college. I would miss these two also....but so far....I have not had the opportunity to have them leave for more than a couple of months at a time.

Those are called boomerang kids. I'm 38 and had a friend that was a boomerang kid. Kept having to move back home for one reason or another. She'll be moving back home again now with two kids and a husband.

Took about boomerang kids-when we were relocated out to the Midwest
we bought new construction. Now it only my husband, and I and our cat but we have a walkout basement with a bathroom and a fireplace waiting to be finished for our kids or parents!
