GloryB posted in another thread, "Starting Saturday, Nov. 14 Walmart will be selling select 12 lb. turkeys for $5."

At first I said, Wow ... gotta go shopping this Saturday. Then I got my calculator out. It works out to between 41 and 42 cents a pound.

Is this a deal for your part of country?OK, I'm just being nosy.

Wal Mart meat is not tasty to me. The chicken, pork and steak. Tried all those and will stick with HEB or Sprouts. I'm in TX

They are still pricey here in NC or at least in my neck of the woods. Harris Teeter has their brand right now for .59/lb which is a deal considering most are selling now at .99/lb. Can't recall seeing them for as low as casusBelli has seen them..now that IS a deal!
