I've done a few through the years. The latest one was 3 months ago (I think) when I got through the preliminary questions on a smoker focus group....but wasn't chosen to do the whole study. They actually sent me $25 for the time I HAD spent on it. I posted about it when it happened. Pretty cool.

Some studies really do pay high, but many times they are only be offered in certain areas. So, you want to sign up for the national ones and any close to where you live.

Thanks. I was wondering because I signed up for one a few months ago, where they put 5.00 in your account right from the start, but, every survey they have sent me, I haven't "qualified" for. Now this is after I fill out a page or 3 that they let me know this. I got tired of doing that.

Here's another one: instantcashsweepstakes.com

They pay by PayPal really quick and you can also write surveys! They are part of a market research site and are trying to build a legit consumer database.

Focus Groups are a little different than the survey companies online. Focus Groups are usually one time studies that really check out people and pay well. Many times it requires a telephone conversation to make sure the participating person is legitimate or even require face to face interviews.

Survey companies online are generally trying out new or current products. They used to pay decent....but they really don't pay so much now. If you do lots of them, you can make some pocket change, but it is really time consuming. I quit doing that a couple of years ago. I hate adding up points to finally get a few bucks.
