I just had a crown break!!! I'm sitting there watching TV, running my tongue around my tooth and I feel a piece of it come of. I'm not sure whats going to hurt more, having to pay the bill or sit in the chair and have the old one yanked out.
I swear I will be glad when this year is over. First the shoulder, then the mammy gram scare and now the tooth.
Poor Camper! Was it an old crown? How strange for it to break off just like that. If it's true that bad things come in three's (which does seem to happen often), at least you're done.
Camper, I just had a crown yanked in December, it didn't hurt at all and it had been in there for MANY years. Right up front all long and snaggletoothed looking. ugh. Our dentist LOVES us-we don't have insurance, but we sure have issues. Maybe they can fix it? Reglue it?
Today I got a veria organic lip balm. I love the smell, it smells familiar to me!
Thanks for the sympathy guys. I go to the dentist tomorrow, we'll see if it can be repaired or has to be replaced. If I remember correctly this crown is older than some of you guys. Compared to the shoulder recovery, this will be a walk in the park.
