I pay all my bills online. I use My Check Free for everything that they have in their database.

But Exxon insists that I send them a check. I tried to pay my bill online (all of $10), and they bounced my payment back and charged me a $29 returned check fee. When I called them, they claimed the account was closed. I called my credit union, and they confirmed that my account was not only still open, but there was money in it.

So I'm not taking any chances with Exxon anymore. If I use the card, I'll mail them a check to be on the safe side.

I do everything online too...from buying groceries to paying all bills. I've always had personalized checks (with a photo of one of my dear dobermans) and havent used one in months...and that was only to send some $$$ to my daughter.

I hate it when companies charge a fee for paying online. Both the taxing authorities here charge 2% to pay online. I had a credit card that charged $15 to pay online; you can bet I paid that one off by check and canceled it right away.

I love Exxon gas but I had a similar problem with my Exxon payment, twice, and canceled that card too.

I don't buy groceries online. it would cost me too much. I use coupons, and go to different stores for different items. I buy my cat food at PetPeople and PetsMart, but I don't feed him junk cat food. I go to Walmart and Target a lot. There's a shopping center that has both in there, so I just combine my trip.

I only have the Exxon card in case of an emergency, and only used it that one time. But if I do use it again, I won't be paying them online. I have to write a check for rent, and that's about the only check that I write, unless the book of checks is getting low, and I'll use them up, instead of using my debit card.

Hey, Camper. I was reading about fish oil on the Health forum last week and ordered some from drugstore.com. I bought two kinds: the first is more expensive but the reviews say it doesnt taste fishy or make you burp and the second is much more reasonably priced and has good reviews too. When they gets here, I'll let you know how they work.
