My cholesterol is up and need to lower by diet. Been trying to eat less dairy, more oatmeal, meatless meals and black beans and more veggies.

Not sure though if this will help high triglycerides though- but it certainty won't hurt.

Hey don't forget about my picture of your blue bonnets. Even though we were 65 today nothing is green and no swelled tree buds!

There are only about 3 actual Bluebonnet plants that have a few flowers so far. About another two weeks and my yard will be covered, then I will take some pics!

When they gets here, I'll let you know how they work.

Buy Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega 1000 mg Purified Fish Oil Soft Gels Online at drugstore.com

Buy Twinlab Complete EFA Omega 3-6-9, Softgels Online at drugstore.com
Oh, please do let me know what you think! I asked at the pharmacy yesterday and the girl said she has never found one that didn't make here burp... I asked her ( very nicely) just how many she had tried and she got a little huffy and had to go.

Hey, Camper. My fish oil softgels arrived today. The first thing I did was open both jars and smell the contents.

The Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega smells lemony. I had read that in the reviews, which is why I bought it.

The Twinlab Complete EFA smells fishy. I love fish and I like the smell of cooked fish but this smells almost like raw fish. I wouldnt want to burp up this smell.

The Nordic Naturals costs $59.49 for 180 softgels. Recommended dosage is two softgels per day, taken with a meal. That means that each jar will last 90 days, so the daily cost is 67 cents (if my math is right). The softgels are 1" long and 3/8" wide.

The Twinlab costs $10.61 for 90 softgels. Recommended dosage is three softgels per day, taken with a meal. That means that each jar will last 30 days, so the daily cost is 34 cents (same disclaimer). The softgels are 1" long and 1/2" wide.

Looking at the contents, Nordic Naturals seems to be somewhat better than Twinlab: 18 calories vs 40, 2 grams of fat vs 4, EPA (650 mg vs 350 mg), DHA (450 mg vs 240 mg) and Omega-3 (1280 mg vs 1272 mg). Twinlab has more Omega 9 (475 mg vs 56 mg) and also has Omega 6 (475 mg) which Nordic doesnt have. Nordic has Vitamin E (30 IU) which Twinlab doesnt have. Those are all per softgel.

I prefer the smell and the size of the Nordic Naturals and the fact that a daily dose has only 4 grams of fat daily (whereas Twinlab has 12 grams) -- but I dont know if it's worth twice the daily cost. I'm going to start with the Nordic and see if it makes me burp. According to the reviews, it shouldnt. After I've finished this jar, I'll start on the Twinlab. Then I'll decide which one to buy again.

I'll be looking for our daily burp report.
