I'm a shower gal but I like soothing, soaking baths every once in a while. I hadnt had one since before my stroke (almost four years ago) so, about three months ago, I decided to enjoy a nice bubble bath. It was wonderful...until the time came for me to get out. I hadnt realized that my stroke-induced weakness would be a problem, but I absolutely could not get up and out of the tub. I tried for hours (no exaggeration) ... oh, the positions in which I found myself. If I'd had a phone in the bathroom, I might have called someone for assistance. Instead, I rested (to get some energy) and eventually (although I dont know how) was able to get up on my knees and climb out of the tub. By then, of course, all the relaxation benefits had been erased. I dont think I'll be taking any more soothing baths.
I got the first of three free issues of PEOPLE magazine today -- and the bill, on which I can mark "CANCEL" after I get the next two issues.
I subscribed to "PEOPLE" for 30 years and really liked it. Then I let my subscription expire a few years ago when it became too expensive. So this is the first one I've seen in 4-5 years. I wasnt as thrilled about it as I used to be. I guess maybe it's all those photos and features of young stars whom I've never seen. Maybe the only time the stars with whom I can identify are featured is when they die.
And also a thing addressed to my freebie name that had four coupons for drugs I don't take or want to try. Not sure what that one was about - maybe someone shared their mailing list or something.
Dang snow! I don't know what's out in mine, it's been snowing all day, so I didn't even shovel a path. I'm thinking positive. Might be a snack, with my luck, a diaper!
Haven't posted my loot in a while (not much to report ), and today I haven't made it to the mailbox. Shoveled for 2 1/2 hrs and made sure the mailman can get to the mailbox; it kept snowing so I just stayed inside.
Got a Yogi tea sample (for me) and a sample package of Pampers' Cruisers for my grandson .
